PETG is a very similar material to polycarbonate in use. It has very good impact strength along with rigidity and good clarity. PETG wins over polycarbonate in the fact that it can be flame polished to give a finished edge and the fact that it can be physically sterilised making it an ideal material for medical use. Being clinically clean, to FDA and EEC regulations, means that PETG is also suitable for use in food preparation and display areas |

It does not need to be pre-dried and has the advantage that it can also be 'cold formed' to a certain degree. 'Cold-Forming' - The ability to be line bent without the need for physical heating. |
